The Pixies have a new bass player

Scheduled to play in Europe at the end of the week, the Pixies has announced a lineup change. Bassist Paz Lenchantin, who joined the reunited group in 2014 and has played on each since, will not be on the tour. Emma Richardson, formerly of Band of Skulls will be touring with the band in her place.

In a statement, the Pixies say, “We’re grateful for Paz’s many contributions, and wish her all the very best going forward.”
